When attacking Shahibdia, nothing happens, i.e., the battle doesn't start?

I know, right? I'm really curious too. I just couldn't beat it. I went to conquer the second Castle (straight ahead to the right), and a turquoise player attacked my first Castle. I ran to the turquoise player, and a red player captured the second Castle. I killed the turquoise player, bought a hero in the Castle, and bought as many troops as possible (all creatures were built). I ran to the second Castle and conquered it. An orange player came out of the garrison and a red player arrived with a small army. The orange player caught up to me. As a result, he was left with only one gargoyle (!), and I lost :smile05:

Okay, I just tried that.
I conquered the turquoise Castle. It's located if you exit the main Castle and go forward along the edge of the map.
Then I returned, gathered more troops. I had all the upgraded units except for the Orcs before the Shamans.
I went and killed the Red player. He's in the Orcish Castle, to the right of yours, if you consider your Castle to be behind you.
I conquered it. Then, a magical orange portal appeared, right near the exit opposite the second Orcish Castle. I defeated the Orange player (he had a very low threat level).
I went back to my main Castle, gathered an army. I was making a lot of money, enough for the army. After a week or two, I went to the Red Castle. It's like going to the second Orcish Castle, but further.
At that moment, the Orange player wanted to attack me, specifically the Castle of the Dead. Well, I defeated him with the same Death army. My strongest units were Vampires. I conquered the Red Castle. The Red player only had one unit left. She ran out of the middle orange garrison. I defeated her too. The Red player is defeated.
Now I'm thinking about gathering armies from all the Castles and converting them to undead.

Regarding codes, I generally don't use them – it's easier not to play at all.

P.S. You probably have a pirated disc; I played version 3.0 and had no problems. I suggest you try again and reload the most recent save.

I had the same situation – all I had to do was leave one more Castle uncaptured (before attacking Shahbadiya).

Well, I wouldn't say that - the Academy cities provide a stable income and have artifact shops (and you can collect a complete dragon set that way). Personally, I captured Shahidiya on the 14th day - by that time, I had 2 Orcish cities with the Tear of Ashtar, 1 Necropolis, and 1 Knight castle, and 3 Academy castles. I stormed the last city with attached golems (they always join), and I didn't have any problems - the ballista shoots, and the Gotai roars:smile13: You can also read this walkthrough.

I had the same problem – it’s a real mess there, read the walkthrough thread for that mission, I described the situation and the solution there. I think you need to GIVE ONE city to the enemy, preferably the closest one, and don’t kill all the secondary heroes.

bonchik, thank you for responding! However, after rereading the thread you mentioned, I only found posts indicating a similar problem, but no mention of a solution. If it's not too much trouble, could you provide a link to the place where, as you write, you "described the situation and the solution"?

probably the old posts were deleted, anyway - try starting with early saves (if you have them) - where not all secondary towns have been captured yet - give up one town (preferably the nearest one) to the enemy before the battle with Shahbadia - then the script will work correctly, but prepare properly beforehand (get the right artifacts, level up, and gather the necessary troops). There's a mentor nearby.
