Sacred Haven of Debauchery Auto-translated

No, elves have always been and remain the most popular faction; Necropolis isn't present in every fantasy setting, and sometimes they differ somewhat from the "classic" representation of undead. The Academy is also popular, but not as much. And of course, we don't count humans.

In fantasy, elves are just as cliché as Anakin is in Star Wars. :smile04:

Zombies are just mainstream pop music :3

Just ZV – it’s the only thing that Google will return more information for than for Onemé :smile04:
By the way, anime is also mainstream.

Although, I won’t forgive Lucas for a couple of things :smile06:

Amaranth, you're already annoying with your pop music obsession. It's unpleasant to watch you trying to show off. It's offensive – I like elves, so I'm just biomass, even though I'm just trying to be myself. Defining what's pop and what's not is also pop, IMHO. P.S.: :smile36:

Elves are amusing, I would even say "epic" :)
By the way, I remember when I was in the 4th grade, after watching Lord of the Rings, we decided to go look for the ring in the ruins on the edge of the city.
We were 50 kopecks short for the tram... and then we just beat up all the orcs at the bus stop and happily went home :D By the way, I was an Agronomist. (according to the goblin translation)))

I'm tired of hearing about it, and his pop music is also pop! I didn't say it's bad in this case, but it's still interesting why elves are more popular than many other factions. 2Revan You're his fan, he's your god, right? O_o

Anime is also pop.

To be more precise, a lot of anime is pop, yes. From Google: Anime - 21,900,000 Star Wars - 1,410,000 Naruto - 5,250,000 Haruhi Suzumiya - 53,700 Anakin - 19,800 Anakin - 73,700 Naruto is cooler than Star Wars :smile04:

You're a fan, he's your god, right?

He created my favorite universe, but that doesn't make him a god :smile36: :D

AnnaSofia - 28,500 x))

Damn, I don't know if it's better not to watch this anime, because afterwards I feel kind of down...

259,000,000 for Anime. 109,000,000 for Star Wars. 103,000,000 for Naruto. In any case, Google isn't a reliable indicator.

elves aren't present in all fantasy settings either)) I read something where these races don't exist at all :Р

Hmm... In my opinion, it's not elves in general that are cliché, but rather the canonical elves: wise, long-lived beings, creatures of the kindest soul, inhabiting forests, fierce protectors of nature, and essentially their own forests. They are a kind of standard of goodness, an ideal, in contrast to the malicious, selfish, and flawed humans. And so on, down the list. Tolkien was the first (or one of the first) to depict this type of elf. And after that, this stereotype became firmly associated with elves. In principle, I don't think it's bad, but at least it's not original. The elves in "Heroes of Might and Magic" are exactly this type, which makes them not very original in themselves.

And yes, even if someone claims that I'm just showing off: this is not a criticism of those who love canonical elves; rather, it's just my thoughts and attitude towards this.

In general, yes, pointing out the cliché nature of a particular phenomenon in culture is itself a cliché. Although, in one way or another, each of us is involved in pop culture.
