Help, I'm not very good with computers. We bought a laptop with Vista Home. I installed Heroes, but as soon as the campaign starts loading, it crashes back to Windows with an error (just "error"). Could it be because I have an integrated video card? Thank you in advance.
I also have an integrated video card (although it's not a laptop), but everything works perfectly, from Heroes 1 to Heroes 5. I have Windows XP. Maybe the problem is with Vista?
By the way, the developers also don't guarantee that the game will run correctly on laptops. And here, there's also an integrated video card.
The problem might also be with Vista, but it's unlikely. If anyone knows how to solve the problems with launching the game on Vista, please describe it :)
The only advice, as Nazgul already said, is to update the drivers and try reinstalling the game.
O God of Earth and Altar, Bow down and hear our cry, Our earthly rulers falter, Our people drift and die, The walls of gold entomb us, The swords of scorn divide, Take not thy thunder from us, Take away our pride.
Since you asked... the game works perfectly on Vista, at least on the latest versions. And of course, you still need to install DirectX 9 separately, even though Vista already has DirectX 10.
