Dear friends. Today, a player from HeroesPortal, Zerves, contacted me. I've only heard good things about him. As the head of an online player guild, he proposes that our resource play a match across all versions of Heroes online. Five players from each version. I urge all of you to support this initiative from a friendly resource. These guys, like us, play the SoD version; many of our players participate on their resource, and many Portal players participate in our Competitive events, so we have nothing to divide, except perhaps strong players. ;)

Their gaming Community was formed much earlier, and they've had more time to improve their skills, while we are growing rapidly. I won't comment on the other versions, but such a match would be very important for the development of our Heroes 3 Community. Five people is a small number, but for now, that's what they're offering. I don't know how to determine the 5 best players.
Asking someone to name a team will lead to dissatisfaction. A vote will result in people voting not based on skill level, but for their clan members, which is not ideal in this case. We need an objective measure.
Therefore, I have a big request specifically for the players.

As I understand it, he also spoke with Dreamcatcher and Loy, and they also approve of his position. Why not support an energetic person who can benefit our community?
I think the chances of winning will be 50/50.

During the discussion, it turned out that a team of 5 people for Might and Magic 2 and, apparently, Might and Magic 4 is too many; there aren't enough players to form a team. And for us, and possibly for those who prefer 5-player games, it's too few.
So that 2-player and 4-player teams don't feel disadvantaged, I suggested counting not the total number of wins, but the wins per version.
There are a total of 4 online versions: Might and Magic 2, 3, 4, and 5.
Let's assume that a team of 3 people plays Might and Magic 2 and 4, and a team of 7 players plays Might and Magic 3 and 5.
Let's say two versions are won, and two are lost. Then it's a draw in the match. If we win three out of four versions, we win; if we lose three out of four, we lose.

And each group of players agrees with their neighbors on the rules and composition. I think we have the right to insist on a minimum team of 7 people. The following differences in the rules have been noticed:
1. Restarts. There are no restarts on Heroes Portal upon encountering a 1-1-6 situation, but there are on Hive.
2. Heroes. There are differences regarding the use of spells obtained from level 4 specialist heroes. There is no point in detailing it, just look carefully yourself. But pay attention: on Heroes Portal, the number of Tants is limited, as are the level 4 specialists, but not on Hive.
3. Scrolls. On Hive, the requirements for building magic are more flexible, allowing the use of scrolls, but there is no rule for the 6th week. On Heroes Portal, there is.
4. Necropolis. On Heroes Portal, the starting hero is random, so goodbye, Gosha.
5. Diplomacy. On Heroes Portal, it is completely prohibited, while on Hive, it is allowed in a limited way.
