I once had the chance to play the first part of the game. Heh, compared to the already existing third part, it was a joke! There were such funny, plump, purple dragonlings, how cute!

Well, let's say HOMM3 came out later :) And HOMM1 has its own charm: the images are cool (especially the bearded ogres), and the AI is aggressive. Although I started with HOMM2, so I didn't play the first one for very long. But about a month ago, I played it again, just for nostalgia. I even have a separate Windows 98 system installed on my computer specifically for that :)

I also started with Heroes of Might and Magic II, but I found the voice acting in the first game amusing. The way they voiced the peasants (AAA! OOO!) was hilariously funny! :d

The first Heroes are the best! I, not surprisingly, also started with the second game. Then came the cultural shock: the first Heroes. Pixels. Individual spells... Awesome.

Hmm... I also started with the second game. And I played the first one later, only once. But the second one is sacred, I even like it more than the third sometimes.

I started with the third game. And I began playing the first and second games when the "Platinum Edition" was released by Ubisoft. The first one is great! Amazing gameplay! And the Heroes games have never been known for their good graphics! But the most important thing is that it also has HotS!

In my opinion, apart from a few unsuccessful (read: ugly) monsters like trolls, HOMM1 has quite good graphics.
I initially found the graphics in later versions irritating, but then I got used to it...
HOMM5 hasn't even been released yet, and the situation is the same. :)

The ogres are just awesome there! But I liked the hero on the battlefield the most :)
I also like the absence of the wait mode. It's a fair fight, wall against wall, and no tactical maneuvers :) (well, almost no tactical maneuvers).

I remember playing it; back then, we only had a 486 computer at work (does anyone still remember those?). You couldn't install anything else on it. What I remember most is how impressed I was with the dragons (they were chubby, and I think they were pink or purple). I gathered about seven of them, thinking I was invincible, and then I ran into a hero with amazing leadership and a couple of dozen Paladins (who attacked twice). I had to experience the bitter feeling of disappointment and learn that for every seemingly invincible force, there's another one that can defeat it. It was a cool game (and probably still is).

I played (if you can call it that) the first and second games after I had already played the third. I only played them for comparison... for about 10 minutes. I realized that the third part really built upon what came before.

Oh, the first Heroes! I remember! I started with the first game. I went to a friend's house, and his father worked at some company. He showed me the first Heroes game. I don't remember much about it, as it was a long time ago! But I do remember it.

I played it back when there wasn't even a part 2, and back then, it seemed quite good.

I started with the second one... I played the first one and King's Bounty later... So, the second one still remains the best, the most nostalgic for me, from my youth... (along with Elite, Civilization, UFO, Dune, Warcraft, and Wizardry)...

I've been playing Heroes since 1994, I remember... I even bought my first computer, a 486 DX2 50MHz, because of this amazing game, which was the best at the time. Yes, those were the days when we were young...

I started with the King's Bounty game, not the first Heroes of Might and Magic game. The first one is great! Especially the campaigns are impressive. I must say, the second game made me a bit wary because of its simplicity, but I still spent a lot of time playing it until the third game came out.
