Why did I write this post?
Because I specifically bought a new laptop for Heroes 5. And when I went to the display with the game discs, I was simply... well, how can I put it... ah, I found it! In short, I was very surprised! Instead of a normal DVD disc with Heroes 5, I saw a bunch of different ones. With different titles, but all of them are for Heroes 5. This caused a slight confusion (let's call it that). But then I thought - I'll find out on my own forum. I go in, and what do I see here? A bunch of extremely informative topics like "which unit do you like the most in terms of appearance," but no information about the current game version.
This post is not empty criticism; I really need this information.

1. I can play without any problems on low settings on this machine:

Pentium-4 2400, 1GB RAM, GF5500 graphics card.

2. I have the original game and two expansions: "Hammers of Fate" and "Tribes of the East", respectively. It's most convenient to buy all three games in one gift box.
Heroes of Might & Magic V Gold version, I admit,
as correctly noted below, GOLD EDITION was sold in our city from day one (at least I bought it on December 24th, and it cost 405 rubles, jewel box (with keys for all 3 versions)).

3. There are also official and fan-made guides on the discs, as well as skill trees for the latest versions (just for your information).

As for the information on our forum, I also have to dig and painstakingly search for bits of useful information, because it is scattered, and most of it is outdated due to the release of the latest patches.

Well, there’s a glut of Discomania products. There’s the standard Heroes 5 box set for 300 rubles, and the same Heroes game in a DVD box for 600 rubles; I don’t know what the difference is. Then there’s the Hammers of Fate add-on and a separate Silver Edition (Standard and Hammers) for 380 rubles. They also sell Tribes of the East separately for 400 rubles. The conclusion is that you should forget about all this and wait for the Gold Edition. This collection should already be out, but it hasn’t reached all cities yet.

In principle, it worked on medium settings with a Pentium 4 2.4 GHz, GeForce FX 128 mb, 512 RAM, Windows XP SP1. But this was the original, and it was patched; the add-on has higher requirements...
If there is a strong desire to run the latest add-on at maximum settings, then you can't do without a Core2Duo (even weak models at 1.86 GHz, like mine) and a GeForce8800 GT with 258 MB.
