If the installation process proceeds as usual, meaning it finds the game and asks a couple of questions that you answer by clicking "OK," then everything should be fine. I've encountered this issue a couple of times. But through trial and error, I found a solution back then, and I'm recommending it now. You don't need to delete anything; just disable it. It might be recognizing the patch as a program invader and preventing it from performing its functions without prompting. However, it's also possible that there are incorrect registry entries. If the path is wrong, the patch might simply write files to a different directory. You can check the patch for bugs in the following way: install patch 1.5 (for example), and then try to install 1.1 (again, just an example). If the patch works correctly, it should prevent the installation of an older version.

If the game is not a licensed copy, the patch won't even attempt to install – it says that the file was not found and terminates. If it somehow installs, it means that the game is fine in terms of licensing. If it installs in the wrong location, you can search all disks for the file H5_Game.exe. If a second instance is found, you can manually copy everything to the correct location, or delete the game, clean the registry, and reinstall everything from scratch. If a second instance is not found, you need to troubleshoot Windows, antivirus programs, and firewalls. With an active antivirus, even on a powerful dual-core computer, you might have to watch the opening sequence for 5 minutes.
