the main criterion when choosing my favorite/least favorite characters has always been, is, and will be their appearance.

Bastila) IMHO)). Because she is the most beautiful.

Yeah, Bastila has a pretty nice face in her 3D model, but overall, I think Mission and Juhani have more interesting looks, in my opinion. But appearance is such a subjective thing that we could argue about it until we're blue in the face, and still not convince each other. :)
By the way, I think that in the actual in-game 3D models, everyone's faces look nicer than in their portraits. Just my opinion. :)

P.S. I'm even more into the pairing of Carth and Juhani. I cleared half of the Foundry with them; now I'm struggling with Bastila. :) If she eventually comes to her senses, my opinion of her will improve. :)

P.P.S. It's hard to be consistently light-sided. :D

It's hard to always play as the purely "good" faction.

Yeah, I always play as the "good" faction too. I just feel bad about killing people for no reason. I'm a good guy.

Bastila has the best appearance, in my opinion! I feel neutral about the others... They are all useful, but Bastila is in a league of her own.

P.S. It's hard to be fundamentally good.

I have an off-topic question for you: haven't you ever done anything wrong? :)
And yes, you're being too harsh on Bastila – she's had a difficult life after all.
