Hi everyone!!
Here's the situation:
I'm participating in a contest where every day they ask one tricky question that needs to be answered. The more correct answers, the better for me.
And today's question looks like this: what is the general campaign scenario of HeroesV?
I'll say right away that I've never played Heroes, or any games in the strategy, quest, RPG genres, etc. (I play Counter-Strike a bit), meaning I'm a total noob at this game. I've searched the web and found nothing worthwhile, so I decided to ask people who know.
Regarding the wording of the question—I didn't come up with it, and there is no way to clarify it.

Heroes of Might and Magic V

The black banner of terrible misfortunes – a solar eclipse – came to pass on the day of King Nicholas’s wedding to the beautiful Isabella: hordes of demons attacked the land and plunged it into chaos. It starts and ends with DIFFERENT maps, I assure you. There are no common maps.

The general scenario of the campaigns can be considered a struggle between races for dominance and/or the defense of their own lands during another invasion of demons from the underground prison of Sheol (read: Hell). First, humans fight off the demons with varying success; then, a messenger from Sheol weaves his intrigues; next, Necromancers try to seize power in the human empire; after that, a defector from Sheol reincarnated as a dark elf helps the humans while fighting off rivals for power in the kingdom of the dark pointy-ears; following this, elves enter battle against the Necromancers who have taken over the empire; and the final campaign is about a mage reclaiming his lands from the Necromancers, who, uniting with elves, the remnants of humans, and dark elves, descends into Sheol, saves the queen of the empire from the indecent claims of the local boss, and that's it, we all won :D
