But that's not the case.

Toutar was born into a family of stablehands, in one of the many villages of the Empire. He was the third son, the youngest, the biggest, the strongest, and the dullest. He was also distinguished by his kindness, love for animals, sleep, fruits, and flowers. He was quite lazy and rarely helped his father and brothers. Mostly, he played with kittens and puppies, stole apples from neighbors, and collected wildflowers. He also loved to run around the area with other mischievous kids, playing war. The bull's favorite weapon was a large club. Other children loved Toutar because they knew they could be fearless with him; he could always protect them from bullies. And so he grew up, swinging his club, petting horses, cats, and dogs, stealing apples, collecting flowers, and beating up bullies. At some point, his father decided that he wouldn't be of any use at home, so he sent his son to a military academy. There, his strength and dullness could be useful. And Toutar himself was glad, because he was told that at the academy, he would be able to protect the citizens of the Empire from bullies from other countries. That's how he ended up at the academy.
