Stage 1 - introductory. It tells the story that happened to our hero and his problems. (results are based on the speed of completion);

Stage 2 - everyone participates. The story continues, but in an alternate world. Everyone has the opportunity to upgrade their hero!

Stage 3 - the top 10 players from the first two stages participate. The final. All parameters and development will be transferred from the moment you finish the stages.

The game is played for points! The sum of points for the first two stages is your ticket to the final.

Everyone starts with 5 points. 1st place in a stage - +20 points, 2nd place +18, 3rd place +16, and so on.
If the sum of points is equal, points for primary skills are added.

Registration starts and will last until 22:00 on 07/26/2019.

The first stage of the tournament starts at 20:00 on 07/28/2019.

The map and starting save will be posted directly at 20:00 on 07/28, since, in addition to the forum, the tournament will also start on some other portals, and everyone should be on equal terms.

To participate, write:
1. Nickname for the tournament table (again, due to several portals, the table will be one);
2. Your email address is required!
3. The country you live in (there will be a small gift for the first two places, so you need to understand how to send it)

You don't need to choose a race! I initially planned the possibility of choosing a hero for the game, but Mr. Marmot (thank him very much for this:smile54:) made it clear that there would be a revolution with my head:smile15: :smile15: so I give up. Everyone plays under absolutely identical conditions.

BUT... You play with one hero from the very beginning of the first stage. Therefore, "quickly completing" the 1st stage and taking a prize-winning place, your hero will be transferred to the second stage, and you will most likely find yourself in an unfavorable position

TOURNAMENT RULES
1. You have the right to refuse to participate in the tournament at any time; the result will be canceled;
2. If you do not make it to the third stage, you still complete all stages and follow the tournament algorithm (there will be additional bonuses);
3. You must save at the end of each game day (save name, for example: Month1Week2Day5);
4. At my request, you must send the save for any game day that I request from you;
5. A SAVE IS REQUIRED BEFORE (!!!) the last action! (specifically for the 1st stage - taking the artifact);
6. It is forbidden to discuss the walkthrough and game nuances during the tournament. All questions can be asked only to the tournament organizer in a private message;
7. You can only play from the starting save. It is forbidden to restart or start playing from the map;
8. Cheat codes can be used only for reconnaissance (getting acquainted with the map). It is forbidden to use cheat codes in the final walkthrough. The result will be immediately canceled;
9. It is forbidden to use any programs or files that make changes to the gameplay;
10. Follow the rules posted in the information section of this forum thread.

Version for Heroes 3 SoD v. 3.2 / 4.0
Playing on other versions is prohibited and will be canceled.

I read the thread about the tournament. I want you to understand that my questions were not meant as criticism, but rather reflect what everyone will immediately want to know and what organizers usually state right away when announcing a tournament.
Now, some more specific questions:
What are the other rules that haven't been listed here? Specifically, what is prohibited and what is allowed?
I provided a link to the page with the tournament rules both here and on HP – which version will you be using?
What about using the HD mod? Is it permissible to use HD+ mode? Can we use the SOD_SP plugin? If so, which version and with what options (there are already around 20 of them)?
Is the map for the tournament ready? Has anyone checked it and confirmed that there are no errors? What about random factors – have they been minimized? Could the appearance of neutral creatures in an inappropriate location at the beginning of the week cause problems?

In order:
1. We will use the local rules, i.e., those of this forum. On other portals, I will inform all players about them.
2. The HD mod is allowed. But we won't use HD+.
3. SOD_SP is also not used because it has many factors that make the game easier. Since players from other sources may be unfamiliar with these things, it would not provide completely equal conditions in terms of skill in using plugins.
4. The map is ready and has been fully tested by more than just me. Neutrals will absolutely not interfere. There will be no random factors; I have worked through everything down to the smallest detail, and everything that could put people on unequal footing has been removed.

There is a small change to the process.
After discussing the tournament on HP, we came to the conclusion that all heroes of all participants will be available for selection by any player after the first round, including their own. If you believe that someone else's hero is better suited for the next level, then you are free to choose him, but 2 points will be deducted from you!

I understand that the tournament will not take place, so can we close the thread?

I see that you visited the forum yesterday at 17:04 (this information is visible in your profile). If you took on the responsibility of organizing such a significant event, you can't just disappear. Of course, you can disappear, but it will leave a bad impression. In my opinion, problems and misunderstandings can be resolved if there is a desire to do so.
