Rhemic Empire (2) Auto-translated

— That’s a valid point, — Rudbeks agreed, — but who would do it?

— Definitely not me; I’m not a fighter, and I’m not suited for this task. In principle, any of the three of us would be suitable. Your martial skills, — Jack nodded at Rudbeks and Halmeldorf, — are clearly superior to ours in open combat, but they could also be useful on the remaining part of the journey.

Without a word, Tsukiko lifted her fallen comrade and carried him on her shoulders. Then she nodded to Keiji, telling him to lift Katsuhiro. "We'll have to leave them if we encounter an enemy. But for now, let's try to save them." Let's go, heading east. I really hope that we guess the right direction this time and don't have to waste 50 stamina points to return to the same cell.

“Alright,” replied Keiji, “at least this one is easy.” The group moves east. Keiji loses 10 units of stamina (400/780). Rikia loses 10 units of stamina (1070/1400). Tsukiko loses 10 units of stamina (940/1280).

— Definitely not me; I’m not a fighter and not suited for this task. In principle, any of the three remaining would be suitable. Your martial skills,” Jack nodded at Rudbek and Halmeldir, “clearly surpass ours in open combat, but they may also be useful on the remaining part of the journey.

“Indeed, on the one hand, I wouldn’t want to reduce the combat effectiveness of our squad due to the unlikely possibility of outside interference, but risking being trapped in the eastern part is also not the best idea. I’ll stay.”

-- Alright, good luck. The group heads towards the secret door in the same order.

...and reaches the designated location without any problems. Despite this, the rebels couldn't shake the feeling that they were being watched, and unpleasant, perhaps even disgusting, sounds echoed around them.

- It will be useful, - Nano nodded. - Well, see you. Good luck with your endeavors!
The girl headed back to Lycoris.

Go up or down?!
Let's go north.

- That will be useful, - Nano nodded. - Well, see you. Good luck with your tasks!
The girl headed back to Lycoris.

In Lycoris, Tiella was still working. - So, how did it go? - she asked with a tired expression, as if she had completed the task instead of Nano.

Ascent or descent?!

Neither ascent nor descent.

Let's go north.

East.

- This place is extremely unpleasant and, judging by all appearances, inhabited, so perhaps we should return for our comrade, - suggested the elf.

Aretz, stop being so two-faced, you just want to test the lever, and you don't care about your comrade.

He's subtly hinting in the chat that they should have left someone else to guard the lever.

I think Rudbeks is the perfect candidate. Even if we happen to cross paths with Arza's group, it won't create an awkward situation like, "What is a famous revolutionary doing in the sewers?"

Nano sighed heavily, walked up to the reception desk, and rested her head on the countertop. "It's a disaster," she paused, then looked up and grinned cheerfully. "But not for us, for them! You know, I read about him in the newspaper and expected him to be just another pointless chatterbox, like all those so-called 'important' people. But he's so businesslike, focused, and gets things done with his own hands, like some kind of agent or commando." She shook her head. "Let's just say that if he were twenty years younger, he could definitely compete for... well, not for first place – it's exclusively reserved for Madame Flox and unattainable for mortals – but for second place, for sure. With you, of course," Melissa winked at Tielle and laughed. "But never mind. You better tell me what happened while I was gone. The atmosphere is like in a tomb."
