Classic turn-based or ATB scale?

Both systems are viable. Let ATB remain exclusive to Heroes of Might and Magic V; otherwise, if the next installment features the same system, it will feel somewhat generic, as this system is more characteristic of series like Final Fantasy or some other series.

In the poll about "what is better?", I find the option "both" to be, um, not very appropriate. Perhaps the option "they cannot be compared" or something similar would make more sense. That is, those who voted for this option believe that the systems are too different and tailored to the mechanics of specific games, and it is impossible to compare them in isolation from the mechanics. There would be some logic to that.
It's great that the poll is open-ended.

I can’t fix it anymore, unfortunately. (Or can I? I haven’t figured out the forum mechanics yet.) The purpose of the poll was to demonstrate the untenability of radical positions and ingrained stereotypes... or, conversely, to reveal the sad fact that they still dominate people’s minds. From other perspectives, to be honest, I didn’t even try to consider this issue (although, perhaps, I should have).

Of course, I'm talking about the fifth installment, because the turn-based system in the sixth and seventh games is dull and predictable. In general, this feature – the ability to choose which skills to improve – is one of the most interesting things that appeared in the fifth Heroes game.
