Hearing the sounds, although he wasn't the commander, Paroxysmus shouted:
- Everyone, battle stations!

Небо – мольбы не ждёт
Небо – угроз не слышит
Небо – ведёт особый счёт
Небо – тебя найдёт

Meanwhile, a new sound appeared in the air. At first, it was unclear what it was, but then it became clear: someone was approaching from the forest.
--What is that? Barbarians?--Adrian drew his pistol.

The commander snorted and stated, “As I expected, a complete waste of time. Forget about the north.” He concluded, addressing all members of the expedition.
Meanwhile, a new sound appeared in the air. At first, it was unclear what it was, but then it became clear: someone was approaching from the forest.
“But what about Agnet? Are we going to leave her there to die?” Ratislav didn’t finish his sentence when he heard the sounds. Tirion turned around and prepared for battle.

The camp was filled with tension. This continued for several minutes until a pair of human hands appeared from the bushes. "Don't shoot!" the man shouted and stepped out. He looked like an ordinary man in his 30s. There were two more behind him, but their appearance was difficult to determine from that position.

- The two of you in the back, come out slowly and without any sudden movements, or you'll catch a few bullets and a couple of arrows.

Nemo immediately became wary upon seeing the strangers, most likely the remaining Atraxian fanatics. Unfortunately, she didn't have enough magical power even to read simple thoughts, so she would have to identify them the old-fashioned way. First, Nemo examines the strangers' weapons and armor and compares them to the equipment of the unsuccessful assassin.

Gheghej became even more wary when he felt the connection with Xipil weakening. But now was not the time to think about that; a commotion arose in the camp, and judging by everything, something was approaching from the forest, and it was very close.

- We are just lost travelers, - the man replied friendly. - I know it's hard to believe in these parts, but it's true. Night is falling, and the forest, as you should know, is full of dangers.
- You two, come out slowly and without sudden movements, or you'll catch a few bullets and a couple of arrows.
One of the pair behind, the taller one, swore, and the man had to calm him down. The other didn't respond at all.

The man speaking was wearing simple, light leather armor and a leather hat. One of the other two was wearing simple black clothes, and the other was wrapped in a long hooded cloak that covered his head. Nemo didn't see any weapons, if they had any, they weren't ready for combat.

– And how long have you been wandering around here, “travelers”? Where are you from, and where are you going? – Adrian asked, not lowering his pistol.

- I repeat, come out slowly. Have someone with free hands search them.

– And how long have you, “travelers,” been wandering around here? Where are you from, and where are you going? – Adrian asked, not lowering his pistol.
– That’s a long story, – the man replied again. All this time, he spoke very confidently and never stumbled. – It would be better if we discussed it over a mug of sweet ale!
– I repeat once more. Come out slowly.
– Don’t get hot-headed, friend. – The man said something to the other two, and they approached him. The appearance and equipment of the hooded man still couldn’t be determined, but the second one was a thin young man; he looked like a Khontai, but his skin was much darker.

- This will be a long conversation, - the man replied again. Throughout this time, he spoke very confidently and never faltered. - It would be better if we discussed this over a mug of sweet ale!
- You speak too confidently for a tired and lost traveler. Roger, please search our guests and take away any weapons they may have.

Roger agreed with Paroxius's suggestion and did as he said. The trio didn't resist. Besides the bag with provisions and medicine, he found:
A good one-handed sword with a skull-shaped hilt on the guy in black.
When searching the man in the hood, he didn't find any weapons at all, but with disgust, he felt something slimy and disgusting.
From the man, he found... two simple pistols, a rapier, which seemed to him to be of very skillful craftsmanship, a good dagger, several throwing knives, flammable oil, and gunpowder.

Added 4 minutes later
He unloaded all of this inside the camp, of course.
