Which artifacts are best to equip a hero with?

It seems that everything has already been said and discussed. But we forgot about the items that the hero carries with him. So, what equipment is most suitable for a particular hero?

Dude, you're killing me. Any item is valuable; I personally like to move them around in my inventory as I play. Before a battle, I put the "morale-boosting and lucky items" in the "slots," and when I'm traveling on the map, I put the resource-generating items there. I prefer books over shields.
