I played out the hand, aiming for a one-sided game, as a creature and a log were revealed, and the Consul was activated. Overall, it was a very slow game; I only managed to get to the third stage with 8 angels and a scroll of flight. There didn't seem to be any prospects, while my opponent, meanwhile, accumulated castles and played an Archon on the fourth turn. But then I got lucky; in one of the chests for 19 giants, I found all the air units. In a couple of days, I acquired a few mermaids and 60 ducks, found bracers, attacked my opponent, and the sheer number of units decided the outcome; 7 large stacks defeated 13 archons with equal stats.
