Opp attacked Tazara with Chain Lightning, Shackles, and a hundred Monarchs. He had Implosion and higher stats; his combat stats were 10 points higher, and his magic power was off the charts. The plan was to use Implosion. But it didn't work. Also, +1 speed and having twice as many Monarchs significantly affected the outcome of the battle. If the opponent hadn't attacked, he would have been crawling around without control for a long time... The roads were terrible. The early-game blockades were tough. One of the roads had a blockade of 120 Fire Elementals... After breaking through and reaching the first Castle, it turned out that this road branch was completely bugged. It didn't allow me to pass because the mountains split the area in half. But all's well that ends well.

Update
I went back and checked why my opponent, playing as Red, managed to reach the Pink Compass. It turned out that his zone 20 was located between zones 40 and 48, essentially connecting them. Thus, from his zone 20, there were 5 exits instead of 3. This wasn't the only generation bug because there was another extra passage, specifically a road from the Green Compass to zone 16, near a village. And from zone 25, there was a passage to zone 45, although it was an unpaved road. In short, it was a maximally bugged map. It's just random where another extra passage might appear and where your opponent will be waiting for you. Although, the map itself is quite interesting.
