This time, I had a good start for Inferno, taking positions 1, 2, and 4, and a decent hero, even though I messed up in the center and only cleared the treasure with the last portal. However, I still managed to clear out half of it, then teleported to the castle, exited into the gold mine, and reached Hagi on my first turn, not with my entire army, but with everyone except the horses. As a result, I gained a significant advantage in the battle.
