I visited both upgrade locations and finished the mission. My Fai'den is level 33. Attack and Knowledge are over 30, Defense and Magic are over 20. I suspect that in version 1.5, they removed the script that gave Kolya thousands of dragons. And if they didn't remove it, they made it happen less frequently. Then, theoretically, with a lot of patience and perseverance, you could level up Fedya to level 40. Throughout my long playthrough, only once did a Necromancer appear in the tavern – Deidra, level 29. There weren't even any un-upgraded ones. So, you have to take advantage of this opportunity. A high-level Necromancer, with so many Necromancer castles, can make the playthrough much easier. In general, I didn't just use purchased enemy heroes in this mission.
