In our case, is the condition of capturing a castle not mandatory?

The conditions are stated clearly and unambiguously - only the total amount of gold in the final save is taken into account. I don't think anyone will end up with less than they started with... :) I planned to leave the original task unchanged, but I considered it not entirely appropriate for the purposes of the blitz, so I added a few small touches to the master's canvas, hoping that I wouldn't spoil his work too much... :)
