The first one seems like a weak ward for turn 10 to me, but if it also clears the board and damages the leader, then it might be worth using.

I think it might be useful for Dragons on turn 10, especially if one or more damage amulets are placed. Of course, this is only if they don't introduce anything new for synergy.
