Now I know what some of you who just saw that description are thinking: "well, just use Odin," or "just use DoD," or "just use Bahamut," or "just use Themis," and many more. Here's the catch: this thing doesn't give a damn about those things. Why? Simply because of its second ability description, which states, "Can't be affected by any other card's abilities...." Now, where does banish come from? Odin's fanfare. So, it's a card ability! Holy shit, he can't be banished by Odin! Alright, what about a destruction effect? Bahamut? Bahamut is obviously a card, and he has a "destroy effect." The same with Themis, which is basically Bahamut without a body that also doesn't destroy amulets. Alright, there should be another way, right? Oh yeah, what about petrification without a sigil? That will turn him into a golem—oh wait, that's also a card effect. Damn, we can't transform it either!

Simply put, Aegis is a follower that just cannot be taken out from the field, no matter what you try to do.

What? "What about bane?" you said? Well, we had our hope that bane would be able to take care of it, especially with Zeus having a storm and bane. But, recently, the magazine actually just made a statement asking for an apology after providing misinformation on that part.
