Well, actually, it's not a given. I've heard that if you translate from a third language, the Russian translation and voice acting can be better than the English one. I listened to the Japanese voice acting for some maps, and overall, if I knew Japanese, I would choose it without hesitation. 95% of the male voices sound noticeably better than the English ones. But I learned Japanese from Sailor Moon, and I only know three words, and since none of the characters say "Tsuki ni kawatte oshikiyo," I'll stick with the English version.
