I might be getting ahead of myself, but based on what Horn wrote, I would seriously consider giving him the right to choose any fixes he wants.
Even at the last minute.
It would still be better than having the old-timers endlessly rehash the same old "desert war."
They could open it up for an hour or two, think about it, come up with something, and then move on. It's the same thing that Expert described so nicely in response to my aggression (baiting for the smartest ideas). And in my opinion, that's exactly what should happen. They open the fix, look at it, think about it, assess the pace, and then move on.
(It doesn't matter that I wrote something different a few posts ago; new ideas come up as things progress, and anyway, it doesn't seem like anyone else besides Lizard has signed up :D )
