Well, it's definitely time to share some map layouts. It's a bit strange to remember fixes now, but you simply can't play them without being a hardcore player.
In those maps, everyone rushes from the very beginning, almost for a week, strictly in a predetermined direction, with accuracy down to the cell.
Some maps were played exactly like that, with accuracy down to the cell to break through the Guardian Order.
These are myths from ancient Greece that I heard from random players back at the beginning of the millennium. In fixes, the winner isn't the biggest hardcore player, but the person who comes up with the most clever plan and manages to implement it in the current situation. The only thing that requires calculation is the movement, which is necessary to reach a certain point on time. And even then, you can't always calculate them in advance because you don't know if you'll get a Log, a Potion of Swiftness, Boots, what kind of speed boost you'll have, and so on. Therefore, these calculations are always done during the game, while the opponent is taking their turn (and sometimes you even have to spend your own time on it).
P.S.: Guardian Order in fixes is generally a joke; besides Immortal and Guardian, I can't even immediately recall where it exists. And even on the mentioned maps, it's not always necessary to break through the Guardian Order to meet the opponent. There are ways around it
