"only XL-4"

I played, in my opinion, fairly well. On day 2, I fed Grindan oil, which helped clear the respawn without losses. I had enough gold and resources, so I recruited bears. On turn 121, I took a level 1 Griffin Conservatory and set chains for a second Griffin Conservatory, which, unfortunately, also turned out to be level 1.
I recruited White Wolves and went into a Treasure Cave, where I found 4 Dragon Fly Hives. The dwelling, unfortunately, didn't spawn.
I built the control in the Tower and was about to head to the next Treasure Cave, but the opponent appeared. With an army of 4 Angels and 1k Skeletons. I attacked and killed 2 of his Angels and 400 Skeletons. The opponent started capturing towns. I had to choose between going into a huge unexplored Treasure Cave or trying to pull off a Fireball kill, but the latter didn't work out...

P.S. Had I had a different tactic, or had Gosha not had one, I could have killed Gosha in the first encounter, but that didn't work out either.
