I always used to get on buses where they didn't announce the stops.
Luckily, we've had mostly large, new buses with conductors for a long time now. Although there are still small "PAZik" buses, but they mostly run on routes within the city or to the suburbs, where there's only one door and everyone pays before boarding or exiting.
