It just dawned on me how powerful the Frontguard general is as a card. It turns out, it's a 5/6 body for 7 mana with ward (already decent vanilla stats: Ettin 4/5 ward for 6, Mammoth 6/7 for 7), plus it summons a 2/3 ward after itself (resulting in 5 "extra" stats with an additional ward). For comparison, the Haven "belly," which is considered overpowered, has stats reduced by 1 (3/5 for 5) and summons a 1/2 with taunt, meaning 2 "extra" stats and ward. Although, of course, we need to consider that the general is a class-specific golden card, while the "belly" is a common rare, but it's still strong.
