Try reducing the resolution or checking the "simplified image" option. You can send me your save files for the chest issue, but it's likely a bug. I know dealing with save files is a hassle, but that's just how the game is designed. I can only suggest renaming each save file (i.e., at the end of the day) in the folder. At the very least, it will help you retrieve your daily saves, while the rest will be scattered...
