Voting for the location of the CIS-2107 tournament.

I find this decision very strange. If I vote for Ekb and initially plan to only go there, why should I sponsor Volgograd or Korolev in case they win?

Let me clarify my point again.
Using your example:
You declare that you want to participate, list X rubles in the prize pool, your vote becomes 2 points, with a "veteran" coefficient of 2*1.5=3, i.e., it essentially equals three votes from viewers who were not previously at the CIS event, and therefore the chance of winning against Ekb increases.
All contributions are non-refundable! They go into the prize pool.
And you can only receive something by getting into the prize pool in the competition, which will encourage those who contributed to come to the tournament.
If you are not sure whether you will go, or you will only go to Ekb, vote as a viewer and that's it.
