At first glance, this scheme is more interesting. Abstractly, the idea of fitting all possible weight values within the range of 1 to 7 has a better chance of working.
Romantik has a weight range of 6 (from 0.5 to 3), Merlin had a range of 20 (from 0.3 to 6).
