Did they pull him out of a statue for the RPG series? I immediately thought it was a stupid idea.

He'll be brought out to beat up aliens without harming the planet. And so that he appears in the seventh installment.

Why? He settled down in a laboratory on a separate island near the elves (the same 7 Might and Magic) and most likely went into the world of science.
