Sacred Haven of Debauchery

European gardeners fight snails by placing plates of beer on their plantations. The beer-loving snails get drunk and drown in the intoxicating drink.

Hedgehogs love not only milk but also beer and wine, but when they get drunk, they become easy prey for predators because they don't have time to curl up into a ball when danger approaches.

Monkeys' love for alcohol sometimes costs them their freedom. Knowing that primates are not indifferent to alcohol, local hunters catch them, using this harmful weakness. The hunters go into the forest, bringing a large keg of beer and several mugs with them. In front of the monkeys, the hunters drink beer, then go a short distance into the forest and hide in the bushes, watching the animals. The monkeys immediately come down, surround the keg, and get drunk to the point of being senseless. It is easy to pack up the dead-drunk animals.

Elephants make their own brew. They dig a pit with their tusks, carry all sorts of tropical fruits there, and cover them with leaves and grass. When the mixture starts to ferment, the elephants come to this place and consume it. Drunk elephants wander aimlessly through the forest, trumpet loudly, and make a commotion.

Robins and thrushes occasionally peck at overripe apples and berries and then fall into a deep sleep right on the branches. In this state, they can be caught by hand.

Bees and wasps are notorious alcoholics. When scientists gave bees a choice between a sugar solution and an 80% alcoholic beverage, the bees chose the alcohol without hesitation.

Rats simply love beer; it is best to add poison to beer to exterminate rats.
