I started with a very weak Moner on day 124 – only earth and attack were leveled up. I also didn't have any decent attack stacks – 5 angels, 2 phoenixes, 8 psykers, and 4 cyclops. The lack of mana and low defense also didn't allow me to fight strong guards, so I had to bypass the blockades on rough terrain.
As a result, I spent a very long time gathering resources in the center, which allowed my opponent to build an AOTD with Knights and simply shoot me down with a solid stack of cyclops.
