Could have posted a video instead of a description. It’s a well-known scene. However, the narrator distorted some details. It wasn’t:

a light, almost ethereal maiden in ethnic attire, with almond-shaped eyes and ribbons in her hair, flying across the screen

but Iris from the same Final Fantasy game, if my memory serves me right.
