Based on my own experience, I can say that this is a very bad idea. Once, I came to St. Petersburg, and it turned out that I was in excellent shape, and in the semi-finals, I had to get up from the computer in the middle of an unfinished match, where I was already far ahead, and go to the train station. It was a very sad experience, and it "doesn't suit us at all."
Now I understand that I shouldn't have gotten up and left. I should have called work and taken a couple more days off, made arrangements. Nothing would have collapsed without me.
