There were many HotA tournaments in 2016. But there was none with a format like the "Path to Olympus" tournament. That is, with a set of various templates and the possibility of starting with any town.
Only Wizard OH stands out, where there were several templates. The tournament lineup is quite strong and even comparable to the Path to Olympus.

The Blitz Jebus Cross tournament also attracted many strong participants; in fact, practically all top Jebus Cross players took part in it. Well, a tournament with a blitz timer is obviously more challenging.

Strong players also took part in Diamond Masters; the only issue here is the small number of participants compared to SoD tournaments. However, the draw was based on rating, and there was no boosting of points against weaker opponents.

Tournaments for a specific town are insignificant. Their value is more for fun and statistics.

But in any case, tournaments are not won easily.
In my opinion, the most successful this year were KobRa_RR and FireToSky, as they participated in a wide range of tournaments and reached the final stages.
The year was generally marked by the rivalry between Kobra and FTS :D

Also Gomunguls, who participated, if I'm not mistaken, only in Only HL and OFB, which he respectively won and advanced to FB.

However, I think that the vote should be based on the player's successful results and their number.
