I might be missing something, but why the rush? There are still over three months until May!
Let both cities submit proposals with a program and pricing, then allow some time for price optimization, and then we can make an informed choice!

Also, when making a decision, we need to consider whether those who voted for one city will be able to travel to the other.
The main criterion, as I understand it, is to maximize the number of participants?
And I'm sure that Yekaterinburg will be significantly cheaper in any case than Sochi (which means we have a +9 advantage:p)

You are wrong about the timing; May bookings are already being made in full swing, and even more so in Sochi.
To be more specific about the "Yekb proposal," I invite all those who want to help to join us in creating a plan (who will go where to gather information) this Saturday, January 21, 2017 (the day after Trump's inauguration:D) at Sheinkmana 9, office 71, Yekaterinburg, at 4:30 PM.
