A topic appeared in the Nival Interactive forum thread where a regular developer from Nival shared some of the latest news regarding the development of the patch for Heroes of Might and Magic V, which will be released very soon, and also stated that the map editor for Heroes of Might and Magic V will be released no later than August, followed by the random map generator. Most importantly, according to the developers, they are reading the forum pages, and therefore all the fans' help in improving the game is not in vain.

Here are the facts obtained from the developer's post:
- The patch will be released very soon.
- The map editor will be released no later than August.
- The map generator will be released after the map editor.
- Developers are listening to the fans' opinions.
