The situation is almost perfect. On turn 115, I have a single unit, the Dragon is under attack from both air and ground, and on turn 116, I make a mega move, moving the Dragon with 1-7 stats into the black tower, targeting the Angel and Ballista. If I had defended and attacked back, the battle would have dragged on, but I noobishly lost my main hero with artifacts....) But there's still Gunnar, I start leveling him up, but my "fat" hero turned out to be less "fat," or maybe a couple of mistakes helped the opponent survive.
