All questions regarding mapmaking for Heroes of Might and Magic 3: The Shadow of Death.

Try starting a campaign and firing one of them. That's when you'll find out who's in charge. :) And the description is just text.

I tried: it's impossible to fire them (the button is inactive).
And if you attack the monsters with any hero and retreat,
then "hero ..... defeated - mission completed" and the executioner "chops off their head".
