You should play on version 3.2, and that's all there is to it... Download the patch and install it in the root folder... It shouldn't fail to work... Besides, players using different versions of the game are not on equal footing anyway. And there's no need to overcomplicate things.

I downloaded the patch from two sources – from the links provided by VDV and from your links. The result is the same. Everything runs without errors, but the version doesn't change if you look at the file properties, and it's also visible in the game. I saw a few more posts on the forum from people who have the same problem. I think I installed the game from the "Golden Heroes" disc, which contains Heroes 1, 2, 3, and 4. Actually, I didn't start complicating anything. I didn't set the ban on sea bonuses, I didn't provide explanations for this ban, and I didn't critically use it in my Walkthrough, although I did briefly go ashore just to take the money quest, and then immediately got back on the ship and sailed to complete the map (i.e., I ran on land as little as possible and didn't get the Blade). And I wasn't the one attacking Radik for following the rules. So, don't try to shift the blame for complicating things onto me. I gave you advice on how to simplify things – you think that's not quite right. You keep advising me to run the tournament myself – but I won't. But I will play. And since I'm a player, I have the same rights as everyone else to participate in discussions on any issues related to the tournament and the tournament rules.

[/U]Iron, don't overestimate yourself! :) I meant some abstract person, of whom there are always plenty in any argument and who confuses things more than helps to understand the essence of the issue... And interpretations of the rules are no exception.

Based on your posts with Dmitry AS, it's unclear who you're referring to – just say it directly so people don't have to guess. Or did Dmitry AS also mean an abstract person? And what was the argument about? :D
