While the escapees decided what to do next, Nicomed searched all the rooms until he reached the navigation deck. There, he found the bodies of the captain and the navigator. On the captain, he found a small, round disc with teeth, a key to the cabin, a one-handed gilded sword, and a pistol. The navigator had a regular one-handed sword and a pistol. The archer also found a map with dots marking the distance traveled by the ship. The last dot indicated the approximate location where the ship crashed.
