In my opinion, the angel concept isn't very well executed – an angel should evolve into an archangel, but a seraphim cannot emerge from an angel if we consider the lore of Ashan:
"...During the Second Eclipse, in a desperate attempt to replenish the ranks of angels, whose time seemed to be running out, the idea arose to combine the souls of humans and angels. This is how seraphim came into being... When the secret of their origin was revealed, unrest broke out throughout the Empire.
