The setup was good: an external dwelling of elves, computers relatively close, and from the start there was a ghost hero who collected a few bones.
In general, my opponent and I ran along mediocre middle roads to mediocre treasure zones until the second month. It became essentially clear that whoever would gain at least partial control first would win. I built Dimension Door in necro-GM, and Kyrre ran to the opponent for a better life on the fourth week, seized a castle, nearly lost the entire army to a scout hero, but managed to escape with Kyrre into the opponent's treasure zone, where I fortunately found the missing KZ and army.
The opponent, starting from the fourth week, due to angel growth and stats, began to outpace me in power; I even considered surrendering, but decided to resist until the end.
Thanks for the game.
I was unlucky. The start seemed decent — good spread, lots of gold. I head to Conflux, get wrecked, lose all my archers to magic and the Citadel. Then I'm stuck until the end of the week with nothing to fight with, but I have enough gold to summon 2 angels and buy them, plus a Griffin Conservatory at level 1 near the castle. Week 2 — march to the second computer, enter the treasure zone, but 20 Necro Horses block me. My army consists of 3 angels. I return. On week 3, I enter the Conflux treasure zone. I lose my entire 5th army in Pandora's Box, without Expert Wisdom. I sweep through the treasure zone, boosting stats and picking up utopias. On week 4, I decide to head to the swamp treasure zone, because I spot a Dragon Utopia and a level 5 hat there. But there's no road from the swamp to the treasure zone, and searching for a possible underground passage through the swamp could take up to 3 days. I turn around and head to the central treasure zone, where Kyrrusha runs past me and takes my castle; I turn back, but I'm 2-3 tiles short of reaching either the scout hero with my entire army (I have Shackles of War) or the castle with Kyrrusha. In the end, the opponent kills all my scout heroes and runs into my computers' treasure zones, ignoring me. I head to his Rampart castle, hoping for magic, wasting a lot of time; along the way in the treasure zone I find all the Water Magic, but in his Rampart, magic is not built at all — not even a single structure. I see no point in further stalling, and though I'm stronger in stats and army, I surrender. Frustrating. Thanks for the game.
