I don't see any objective reasons why the Maid unit should appeal to me more than the Riflewoman. Even her evolved art barely meets the standard.

Well, honestly, I think the art for the Series unit looks too childish and even a little silly... While the Maid Leader is a perfectly serious, business-like maid.
