Go to any category, create any object (e.g., AdvMapHeroShared), and save it. An index.bin file and the file of the created object should appear in the data folder. Sometimes these files may be hidden; in this case, you can view them in the editor's built-in file opening menu (the one that appears when you click on File > Open).
