Heroes 5 + Windows 8.1 + laptop: terrible performance.

Hello.

How can I play Heroes of Might and Magic V on Windows 8?

I have a gaming laptop that can run Battlefield 4 at medium settings with a stable 60fps, but Heroes of Might and Magic V runs at ~50fps in the city and ~20fps on the map. How is that possible?

I remember playing Heroes V normally on my old computer with a Pentium 4.
