Online tournament for fans of Heroes of Might and Magic IV.

Today, on 06/12/07, the game between LeSHiJ-MaX (Chaos) and BASON (Might) concluded, marking the end of their tournament match. The game lasted two days due to the time zone difference and conflicting schedules. I played with two main heroes, Rufus (Ranger) and Kaspar (Fire Mage), and one reserve mage. BASON played with one main hero, Shiva (General), and several reserves, focusing on developing him.
Throughout most of the game, BASON led in terms of army strength and wealth. I got lucky because BASON didn't have time to combine his forces into a single army, and since my army consisted only of Black Dragons, my movement speed was much higher. This allowed me to defeat his army in parts. Perhaps the main reason for BASON's loss was the lack of time for a proper game.

The most important thing was that it was fun! I don't usually play online matches in Heroes; I just play against the computer for my own enjoyment. But I decided to participate in the tournament to support the idea of my old friends. I wasn't expecting to win; I just wanted to sit down and play. Choosing the easiest faction, "Might," I started playing in the same way as against the computer (taking my time with building and capturing mines). But to my surprise, over time, I realized that I was starting to have a chance to win against my more experienced opponent, thanks to brute force and numbers. I wandered around the map for a long time, looking for loot, and my army allowed me to do so. After two months, I had built a dwelling and a lair in both castles. And towards the end of the game, my main hero gained the "Nobility" skill, and that's when time started working in my favor. In the end, everything was decided by a counterattack with 2 heroes (level 20) and 7 Black Dragons, which swept everything away. That's how it all ended.
My mistake was that I split my army. If they had combined, the wave of Cyclops and monsters would have swept everyone away (I won't say anything about the rest), but that's just my guess.
