It looks very much like the actions of a conspirator trying to draw attention to a planted clue. If Hasumi was really a conspirator, then all your nice conversation with her is starting to look like a well-planned (but overly perfect) performance.

I was thinking that at least one of the conspirators would definitely want to participate in the execution of a possible lone wolf. What do you think?
